Diesel S.p.A. – makers of handbags and fashion - are 30 years old this year and in controversial manner are celebrating with some “Dirty 30 parties” that will take place in 17 locations. Just to get an idea of the sort of thing that is expected to happen on a Dirty 30 party (although probably they will be nowhere near this dirty!) they have augmented this 70’s retro porn video. (Although there is nothing dirty visible per se – watch at your own risk!).

To celebrate them my own way I will talk about some Diesel handbags myself today. I first was aware of Diesel when my best friends little brother sported one of their Mohawk design t-shirts and wow – have they come a long way since! Obviously if you are any good at maths you will be able to figure out that the company was founded in 1978 - by Renzo Rosso and his former boss Adriano Goldschmid. The company has 3500 employees in 17 countries – in fact I myself have a friend who used to work for them in Berlin and although she loved the Diesel handbags and the fashion, the people she worked with were actually quite nasty – so good riddance for her!

So today I will look at some of the Diesel handbags that are available online. What I like about Diesel is that their Diesel handbags are not too girly; I find that they are actually quite metro sexual. And as a tomboy type of girl I quite appreciate that. Some of the bags seem quite old school aviation inspired and would work better as daytime handbags – while other Diesel handbags are quite sleek, elegant and chic.
